KeyBank Donation to Support SLCHSF Workforce Development Program

Foundation

Newburgh, NY – The St. Luke's Cornwall Health System Foundation (SLCHSF) recently accepted a donation of $15,000 from KeyBank to help support the Foundation's Workforce Development Program, an effort that will provide enhanced educational offerings and programs to the Foundation's staff and leadership to help create sustainable philanthropic efforts in support of St. Luke's Cornwall Hospital.

The SLCHSF Workforce Development Program covers a mixture of clinical and financial analytics to aid in the creation of suitable philanthropic endeavors while offering leadership skills necessary for improved staff performance.

To enhance the Workforce Development Program, SLCHSF has teamed up with The Advisory Board Company, which specializes in research and sensible approaches for healthcare organizations. SLCHSF will take advantage of the consulting services offered.  The consultants will assist the Foundation staff and leadership to navigate the interconnected philanthropic/environmental challenges faced by the health care industry and how to raise the vital funds necessary for community hospitals to survive.

"We are so appreciative of KeyBank for their generous donation and support of St. Luke's Cornwall Hospital," said Tonya Addy, Vice President of External Relations and Executive Director of the St. Luke's Cornwall Health System Foundation. "Healthcare delivery is changing drastically, and in this environment, workforce development is essential in ensuring that our team is prepared for such changes."

"The promise for the future lies in the ability to continually cultivate leaders with vision, integrity and a passion for community," said Ruth Mahoney, president, Hudson Valley/Metro NY Market, KeyBank N.A. "This is why we KeyBank is so pleased to support St. Luke's Cornwall Hospital. This donation will not only strengthen the skills of the SLCHSF staff, but it will also strengthen the quality of services and programs available to the individuals and families in our communities. This program aligns well with Key's commitment to support economic self-sufficiency through strategic philanthropic investment in financial education and workforce development programs."
