MONTEFIORE ST. LUKE'S CORNWALL TO PROVIDE VIRTUAL EDUCATION IN SUMMER OF 2021

Newburgh, NY – As part of its ongoing community outreach program, Montefiore St. Luke’s Cornwall will be providing free seminars and education events to the community throughout 2021. Each event will focus on a variety of health care topics and will be virtual and held via Zoom.

MSLC will continue its education on Tuesday, June 29 at 5:30 p.m. for a presentation on lower extremity arterial disease, including its diagnosis and treatment options. The seminar will be presented by Dr. Sae Hahm, board-certified vascular surgeon.

On Tuesday, July 13 at 6 p.m., Dr. Wasik Ashraf, Medical Director of Sports Medicine at MSLC, will be presenting on Sports Medicine. More specifically, Dr. Ashraf will discuss the prevention and treatment of common injuries as well as surgical options. This seminar will be presented in partnership with the Cornwall Public Library.

Additionally, Dr. Ashraf will be hosting a Sports Medicine Symposium on August 7 at the Aquinas Theatre at Mount Saint Mary College in Newburgh, NY. For additional details, visit our website at www.montefioreslc.org.

This summer’s education will continue on Tuesday, July 20 at 6 p.m. Dr. Anita Bhola, Medical Director of the Center for Sleep Medicine in Cornwall and Fishkill, will be presenting a free seminar on common sleep disorders. This seminar will be presented in partnership with the Howland Public Library in Beacon.
