MONTEFIORE ST. LUKE’S CORNWALL NAMED A GREAT PLACE TO WORK™ FOR THIRD YEAR IN A ROW!

Hospital

Montefiore St. Luke’s Cornwall (MSLC) has been certified as a great workplace for the third consecutive year by the independent analysts at Great Place to Work (GPTW)™. This certification comes as the result of validated employee feedback gathered with GPTW’s rigorous, data-driven ‘For All’ methodology. A summary of these ratings can be found here http://bit.ly/GPTW-MSLC.

MSLC is one of only fourteen hospitals in the nation to achieve this recognition and the organization joins the likes of other well-known facilities such as St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital and The Mayo Clinic. Additionally, in regards to employee engagement and satisfaction strengths, MSLC is also the only hospital in the Hudson Valley to be included in Becker’s Top 150 Healthcare Employers list for 2019.

MSLC was invited to participate in this exclusive survey in 2017, and since that time, the hospital has seen a steady increase in employee satisfaction and engagement ratings as evidenced in this survey. 87% of employees surveyed say MSLC is a great workplace, which is a 4% increase from last year’s analysis. Of this percentage, 70% of those surveyed were front line employees. Additionally, 95% of respondents stated they feel good about the way MSLC contributes to the communities they serve.

“We have a very strong sense of community at Montefiore St. Luke’s Cornwall,” said Joan Cusack-McGuirk, MSLC President and CEO. “We are so much more than the brick and mortar and the celebrated differences amongst our colleagues is what makes this organization so unique. We are so proud to receive this recognition again, as it is a true representation of the service excellence we provide and the diversity we have at MSLC.”

MSLC focuses heavily on being an inclusive workplace for all. An overwhelming 95% of respondents feel they are treated fairly regardless of their sexual orientation and 94% feel their gender does not affect workplace treatment. The organization continues to uphold this promise through various initiatives led by a dedicated Diversity and Inclusion Committee.

“We congratulate Montefiore St. Luke’s Cornwall on their Certification,” said Sarah Lewis-Kulin, Vice President of Best Workplace List Research at Great Place to Work. “Organizations that earn their employees’ trust create great workplace cultures that deliver outstanding business results.”
