Newburgh, NY- The St. Luke’s Cornwall Health System Foundation raised over $100,000 net proceeds at its annual Golf & Tennis outing held on June 29 at the Powelton Club. The funds will be donated to the St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital Cardiovascular Institute.

The event was supported by numerous local businesses and donors. Top sponsors for this year’s event included RestorixHealth, and Mid-Hudson Anesthesiologists. More than 250 community members and business leaders joined SLCH for the annual tournament.

“We sincerely thank all of our sponsors, participants and friends for the support of this great event,” said Joan Cusack-McGuirk, SLCH President and CEO. “Their generosity toward our community hospital is vital to the Cardiovascular Institute’s ability to provide high quality cardiac care to our friends and neighbors.”

In addition to the committee, the event was spearheaded by the new Executive Director of the St. Luke’s Cornwall Health System Foundation, Anne Marie Schoonhoven. She has served the Hudson Valley for more than 10 years in fundraising, marketing and event planning. She has years of diversified managerial experience in a design and manufacturing environment including: international sales and marketing, accounting, human resources, and quality assurance.

“I’d like to thank our golf and tennis committee, led by co-chairs Ellen Kelly, Bob Hatfield, and Fred Dabroski Jr., for their efforts that made the day such a success” said Schoonhoven. “And a special thank you to the Powelton Club for their hospitality.”
