Influenza Season is Still Here

Hospital

According to the Center for Disease Control, the number of detectable influenza cases is steadily rising. Dr. Uticia Belfield, St. Luke's Cornwall Medical Group physician, urges the importance of getting a flu shot if you haven't done so already.

"Symptoms of the flu can include fever and chills, cough, sore throat, a runny or stuffy nose, muscle or body aches, headache, and fatigue," said Dr. Belfield. "If you are experiencing any of these symptoms, you should see your primary care doctor as soon as possible."

For those who have not been vaccinated yet, Dr. Belfield echoes the Center for Disease Control's (CDC) recommendation that it's not too late. Contact Dr. Belfield at 845-561-0642 or any member of the St. Luke's Cornwall Medical Group by calling 845-534-7080. To learn more, please visit www.slcmedgroup.com.
