KeyBank Supports Work Development

Foundation
Newburgh, NY – The St. Luke's Cornwall Health System Foundation recently accepted a donation of $15,000 from KeyBank to help support the St. Luke's Cornwall Hospital (SLCH) Workforce Development Program, an effort that will provide enhanced educational offerings and programs to the hospital's medical staff and leadership teams.

The SLCH Workforce Development Program covers a mixture of management-related topics to better equip the hospital's leadership in their efforts to navigate and respond to changes in the work environment, as well as promote flexibility, innovation and marketability of SLCH's wide-ranging services.

"On behalf of the entire hospital, I would like to thank KeyBank for their generous donation and support of St. Luke's Cornwall Hospital," said Tonya Addy, Vice President of External Relations and Executive Director of the St. Luke's Cornwall Health System Foundation. "The healthcare business is changing rapidly, and it is now more important than ever to be able to adapt to the challenges we are currently facing and ready ourselves for future opportunities."

"Key encourages people, organizations and communities to achieve economic self-sufficiency through strategic philanthropic investment in financial education and workforce development programs. This donation will not only strengthen the skills of the SLCH staff, but it will also strengthen the quality of services and programs available to the individuals and families in our communities," said Ruth Mahoney, president, KeyBank, Hudson Valley Market.

To enhance the Workforce Development Program, SLCH has teamed with The Advisory Board Company, which specializes in research and sensible approaches for healthcare organizations. The company has identified key areas in which both the hospital and medical staff are most likely to see the greatest improvement. SLCH will host four on-site presentations developed by The Advisory Board, and the staff will have access to more than 40 on-line leadership modules specifically aimed at healthcare.
