Newburgh, NY – St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital (SLCH) and 2 Alices Coffee Lounge are teaming up for a “Coffee House Call” on Sunday, March 6 at their Newburgh store located at 117 Broadway. Dr. Mehul Patel, Medical Director of the SLCH Cardiovascular Institute, will be on hand beginning at 1 p.m. for an informal discussion and information session about heart health.


As an added benefit, the hospital will provide a cup of coffee or tea to a limited number of attendees on a first-come, first-served basis. No registration is required.

The Cardiovascular Institute is the latest example of SLCH’s quality cardiovascular patient care. The hospital was recognized as a 2013 Top Performer on Key Quality Measures by The Joint Commission, the leading accreditor of health care organizations in the United States, in the measure sets of Heart Attack, Heart Failure and Stroke. SLCH has earned the American Stroke Association’s “Get With the Guidelines Gold Plus Achievement Award” for excellence in stroke care in each of the last five years.
