SLCH Partners with Brighton Collectibles in Support of Breast Cancer Awareness

Hospital

Newburgh, NY – St. Luke's Cornwall Hospital is pleased to announce their partnership with Brighton Collectibles for the month of October in observance of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. From September 27 through October 31, Brighton at Woodbury Common Premium Outlets will donate $10 from every special edition "Power of Pink" bracelet sold at their store, in addition to funds raised by raffles.

Over the past eleven years, Brighton has donated more than eight million dollars as a company to Breast Cancer research and charities.

This year marks the second anniversary that The Littman Cancer Center will be among the benefactors. Breast cancer strikes adults of all ages, including thousands in their 20s and 30s. Each year, an estimated 250,000 women and men in the U.S. will be diagnosed. The silver lining is that with treatment advances, early detection and increased awareness, death rates have decreased by about 2% each year since 1990. This partnership will aid the efforts of the Littman Cancer Center with providing the best care possible.
"We are so pleased to be a part of Brighton's Power of Pink Campaign again this year," said Sue Sullivan," Vice President Advancement and Government Affairs. "We are excited to continue this partnership and are touched to work towards a cause that has undoubtedly affected our community as a whole."

"We hear many stories of survival, yet we don't want people to suffer as they fight this disease. We are committed to seeing the day when breast cancer is a disease of the past—the sooner, the better. Together we can change the lives of many people, so let's do it now," said Brighton's founder and owner, Jerry Kohl.

Patients with breast cancer or general concerns about breast health will find the most comprehensive breast care program at the Littman Cancer Center. Specifically designed to meet the needs of women, the program features the expertise of a breast cancer surgeon and reconstructive plastic surgeon who work in a seamless fashion to provide individualized treatment plans for each patient.
