Montefiore St. Luke’s Cornwall Honors Physicians and Staff for Outstanding Performance

Newburgh, NY [January 16, 2026] — Montefiore St. Luke’s Cornwall (MSLC) proudly announced the recipients of its 2025 annual awards, recognizing exceptional physicians and staff whose dedication continues to strengthen care across the community.

Dr. Paul Reichman was namedCommunity-Based Physician of the Year for his longstanding service and commitment to patients. He is a member of the Montefiore St. Luke’s Cornwall Medical Group. As a longtime local resident and expert surgeon, Dr. Reichman has served MSLC in multiple roles throughout his career.

Dr. Prabhakar Kocherlakota, known as Dr. KP received the Hospital-Based Physician of the Year award for his decades of service in the Elaine Kaplan Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). Since the unit opening in 1997, Dr. Kocherlakota has cared for countless newborns.

Employee of the Year honors went to Jamie Scarpati, a Physical Therapist recognized during MSLC’s annual holiday celebration attended by more than 300 colleagues. Since joining MSLC in 2003, Jamie has distinguished herself through clinical excellence, teamwork, and patient-centered care.

Leader of the Year was awarded to Nicole Pogelschek, Director of Radiation Oncology and the Joan Cusack-McGuirk (JCM) Center for Patient Navigation. Under her leadership, the JCM Center has expanded critical support services and improved access to care for countless patients.

Earlier in 2025, MSLC also awarded Donna Ramsey, RN, CEN, AD, as its 2025 Nurse of the Year. A veteran nurse with 35 years of experience, Donna is a respected Charge Nurse in the Emergency Department and Trauma Center.

Award recipients were selected through an open nomination process, with MSLC staff and physicians recognizing their peers for exceptional contributions.
