For over 25 years The Elaine Kaplan Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Montefiore St. Luke’s Cornwall (MSLC) has cared for the tiniest babies born prematurely here in the Hudson Valley. As a Level II NICU, MSLC prides itself on treating approximately 235 premature infants and term newborns with infections, birth defects, breathing difficulties and growth restriction each year.

Currently the MSLC NICU department needs a new baby scale to replace an outdated model. An important piece of equipment, the scale is a vital tool for weighing infants daily to determine growth, fluid, and nutrition requirements. It is especially critical to accurately record pediatric patients’ weight.
