After graduating from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in 1993, Dr. McLaughlin completed his Orthopedic Residency at Long Island Jewish Medical Center. He went on to complete a Total Joint/Sports Medicine Fellowship at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio
Dr. McLaughlin specializes in the treatment of arthritis of the knee, hip and shoulder (including total joint replacement), sports medicine (including arthroscopy and ligament reconstruction) as well as fracture management. Dr. McLaughlin's practice philosophy is to maximize non-surgical treatment prior to considering surgery. When surgery is necessary, minimally invasive techniques are preferred.
Dr. McLaughlin has authored and co-authored several articles in peer-reviewed orthopedic journals including the Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery and the Journal of Shoulder Surgery.
